TERMS OF SERVICE

Terms of Service

These Terms govern use of NumiPop, provided by 이지수 (business name: 직선거리) (the “Operator”).

Effective July 20, 2026 · Last updated August 4, 2026

1. Purpose

These Terms set out the conditions for using NumiPop's multiplication learning, quizzes, result storage and synchronization, and related services.

2. Definitions

  1. “Service” means the features offered in the NumiPop app and related web pages.
  2. “User” means a person who uses the Service under these Terms.
  3. “Member” means a person who creates an account using a parent-managed email address and uses signed-in features.
  4. “Learner” means a child or other person who uses learning features within a member account.
  5. “Guest” means a person who uses the Service on a device without creating an account.

3. Effect and revision of these Terms

These Terms take effect when posted in the app or on this website. We may revise them within the limits of applicable law and will provide advance notice of material changes, their effective date, and the reason for the change.

4. The Service

The app has no in-app billing or subscription feature. The Korean account menu can open a Naver Smart Store product page when a parent chooses “Buy image arithmetic cards”; purchases there are governed by the external store's terms. Specific app features may change through updates.

5. Registration and parent or guardian management

  1. As a rule, a parent or guardian should create and manage an online account using their own email address.
  2. Minors must use NumiPop under the management and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Where applicable law requires guardian consent, the parent or guardian must create and manage the account or provide that consent.
  3. The adult confirmation in the registration form does not electronically verify a relationship to a child or create a separately stored parental-consent record.
  4. Do not enter a learner's real name, school, class, telephone number, or other unnecessary personal data as the profile name.

6. Guest use

Basic learning and quiz features are available without registration. Guest data is stored on the device and may be unrecoverable after the app is uninstalled, app data is cleared, or the device is changed or damaged. Guest records are not automatically synchronized across devices.

7. User responsibilities

Users must not access another person's account without permission; interfere with operation or security; unlawfully copy, modify, reverse engineer, or distribute the Service; infringe others' rights; or impose excessive automated load. Members are responsible for protecting their credentials.

8. Account restrictions

We may restrict an account after notice when a user violates these Terms or applicable law or creates a serious security risk. We may act first and notify the user afterward where an urgent security risk makes that reasonably necessary.

9. Changes and interruptions

We may modify or temporarily suspend all or part of the Service for maintenance, failures, force majeure, telecommunications or cloud-provider failures, or legal and policy changes. Where practicable, we will give advance notice.

10. Learning information

Scores and statistics are learning aids. They do not replace school grades, educational diagnosis, or professional assessment, and results may vary with the environment or input method.

11. Intellectual property

Rights in the Service's design, software, text, images, marks, and content belong to the Operator or the applicable rights holder. Users may not reproduce, distribute, sell, publish, or create derivative works beyond personal learning use without authorization.

12. Privacy

See the Privacy Policy for details.

13. Account closure and data deletion

A member may verify the current password and delete the account through Account → Delete account and data, or submit an email request described on the Account & Data Deletion page. When the app displays completion, the Firebase Authentication account and the Cloud Firestore account document, learner profiles, and quiz records identified in the current data model have been deleted. It may nevertheless take up to 180 days to remove Firebase Authentication data from the provider's live and backup systems. Data that must be kept by law may be separated and retained for the required period.

14. Limitation of responsibility

  1. To the extent permitted by law, the Operator may limit responsibility for loss caused without intent or gross negligence by communications failures, device problems, poor credential management, or force majeure.
  2. Any limitation relating to a free-service interruption or data loss applies only to the extent permitted by law.
  3. This section does not limit mandatory consumer or other statutory rights.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. The parties will first try to resolve disputes in good faith. This choice of law does not exclude non-waivable consumer, privacy, or jurisdictional rights that apply in the user's country or region, including such rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, COPPA, or applicable state law where their respective scope requirements are met.
